Message dollar rate starts to take a dive and cams and headwork is one of those points. If you want to squeeze power out of your set up or fill out your power band, then you get into things like that. You have a nice but short profile, maybe you could consider a number of other mods that are much simipler or cheaper to install. I.E. lowering springs, underdrive pulley.

But cams get expensive, they will require springs(non mild cams). The heads have to come off for that unless you or your mechanic have mad skills, some cam profiles require gringing the head to clear lobes. You will most likely want a 3 angle valve job sense you figure you have the heads off. It can add up faster than short block work when your modding your heads. springs, retainers, valve job, valve guides, keepers, porting, valve stem seals....

My heads had come off for block problems. I had JWT springs and a 5 angle valve job done. The Jim Wolf springs gave me the ablity to throw high profile cams in down the road if i desired.
